Ed Reed will ‘definitely’ play Sunday for Jets, per Rex Ryan

Ed Reed will “definitely” make his New York Jets debut Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Rex Ryan told reporters Friday. The Jets signed Reed on Thursday after he was placed on waivers by the Houston Texans. Once the ink on Reed’s signature was dry, Ryan clarified that the veteran safety is not expected to start.

Whether Reed will be an effective contributor to the Jets remains to be seen.
